What is SRC Willow?
SRC (Short Rotation Coppice) Willow is a Rapid Green Sustainable Biomass for renewable heat and energy production. Rapid green biomass is a crop that is harvested on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year depending on land type and growth, which through coppicing, regrows independently and very quickly after each harvest. The lifespan of a well-maintained SRC Willow plantation can be more than 30 years!
